A new organization at Trinity Valley Community College is providing students with opportunities for personal growth, career success, plus a chance to hear from exciting guest speakers.

The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) is an organization that provides a life-changing leadership program that helps students achieve personal growth, career success, and empowers them to have a positive impact in their community, according to nsls.org. NSLS is the nation’s largest leadership honor society with 822 chapters and over 1,900,000 members nationwide.

“NSLS is a great organization that provides students with opportunities to learn how to grow their leadership skills while still a student and that can follow them long after graduation,” TVCC Vice President for Student Services Philip Parnell explained.

Parnell shared the NSLS Spring 2024 Speaker Broadcasts will feature a great line up of successful professionals for students to learn from.

“NSLS provides a structured program in which to learn,” Parnell shared. “Their speaker series brings successful professionals from all walks of life and makes them available for students to learn from.”

The NSLS Spring 2024 Speaker Broadcasts will include Emmy-winning daytime talk show host Tamron Hall, Wharton School professor and bestselling author Jonah Berger, and the only player in sports history to play in a Super Bowl and World Series legendary Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders.

Parnell is excited to offer NSLS at TVCC.

“This is the second chapter I’ve started on a college campus, and I’ve seen the changes NSLS has made in students,” Parnell explained. “In fact, when my daughter called to ask me about NSLS from her university, I urged her to join and she did! I’m very happy we can make NSLS available to Trinity Valley students.”

TVCC students that meet the Grade Point Average (GPA) criteria for NSLS will receive an invitation to join, Parnell explained. Invites for the spring semester have already been sent out.
