Spring Art Show & Auction Sets Record
“The Spring 2018 Cardinal Art Show and Auction set a record!” That was TVCC Art Instructor September Kirk’s enthusiastic review of the show that wrapped up Sunday, April 29.
Katie Harris won the popular vote for best of show followed by Scott Keon and Ashton Neher, whose artwork generated so much interest with its bright colors and beautiful detail that it filled a page with names of people vying for ownership. All the art students contributed to a wonderful show with works created from graphite, acrylic, suminagashi, and more.
“Cortez’s generosity and love of Neher’s art added well over four hundred dollars to the grand total of one thousand, six hundred and seventy dollars,” said Kirk. “These funds will be added to the Art Department budget and used for supplies and field trips.”
