Kaufman County DA Wiley to Speak at TVCC

Kaufman County District Attorney Erleigh Norville Wiley will be a guest speaker at Trinity Valley Community College in Terrell on Wednesday, November 15. Wiley will speak to students in room E106 at 9:25 a.m. and will sign copies of her book, “A Target on My Back – a prosecutor’s terrifying tale of life on a hit list.”

Wiley was appointed Kaufman county DA by Governor Rick Perry after the murder of her predecessor, Mike McLelland, in 2013 and was the first female African-American DA in Texas. She is a graduate of Texas Tech University and the University of Texas School of Law. She served 14 years in the Dallas County DA’s office and was Kaufman County Judge before her appointment as DA.
