Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment benefits (Chapter 31) are available to veterans who are at least 10% disabled, apply for Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment Services, and have received, or will receive, a discharge that is not dishonorable.
Service members can receive this benefit only by meeting with a Vocational Rehabilitation counselor and applying.
First Time Applicants
To apply for benefits students must submit:
- Online Veterans Educational Benefits Request Form
- VA Form 28-1905 - This will be sent to TVCC from your VR&E Case Manager.
- Benefit Utilization Memorandum of Understanding (Required for veterans only, not spouse/dependents.)
- Request for Certification from TVCC
Returning Students (Continuing Students)
Students who are returning or continuing their schooling will just need to submit the TVCC request for certification; this must be done every semester after registering for classes.
