The Dependents’ Educational Assistance (Chapter 35) provides education and training opportunities to eligible dependents of veterans who are permanently and totally disabled due to a service-related condition or eligible dependents of veterans who died while on active duty or as a result of a service-related condition. This program typically offers up to 45 months of educational benefits.
First Time Applicants
To apply for Montgomery GI Bill® benefits students must submit:
- Online Veterans Educational Benefits Request Form
- Letter of Eligibility
If it is your first time using your benefits at TVCC, but you have used them at another institution you will need to submit VA Form 22-5495 also.
Returning Students (Continuing Students)
Students who are returning or continuing their schooling will just need to submit the TVCC request for certification; this must be done every semester after registering for classes.
