TVCC Courses Blocked Until TSI Proficiency is met
If you are a high school graduate or have a GED--
Some academic courses are blocked based on Texas Success Initiative (TSI) requirements. Generally, a student must pass the appropriate section on the approved TSI test, TSI Assessment, or complete the required developmental course sequence to have course blocks removed from his/her degree plan. ( **Notice--Dual-Credit students are not allowed to take developmental courses and must adhere to dual-credit guidelines.) Blocked courses in each area (reading, writing and math) are outlined below:
Reading
Students must be TSI complete in reading to enroll in the following courses:
