CARDINAL PRIDE ORIENTATION "VISION STATEMENT": TVCC Student Orientation better prepares the student for their academic careers. The events and sessions are designed to address a variety of academic and social needs through advisement and registration, providing the student the opportunity to meet and interact with faculty, staff, orientation leaders, and other incoming students.

     SUMMER 2018 CARDINAL PRIDE ONLINE ORIENTATION
Currently, TVCC is creating an online, virtual Cardinal Pride Orientation to be completed for Summer 2018.

Five Scripts written for: 

  1. Introduction: including Dr. King
  2. Pathways to Success – Advising
  3. Show me the Money – Financial Aid
  4. Connections – TVCC technology (Cardinal Connection, email, alert system)
  5. Accessibility – Distance Learning and Disabilities
  6. Stay out of Trouble – Campus Security and Judicial and Title IX
  7. Getting Involved – Student engagement, clubs, etc.
  8. Quiz – measures orientation effectiveness

Project milestones as of November 7, 2017:

Maribeth:

  • Accessibility document for Guidebook April 11
  • Locate and add post quiz questions are introduced Dec 1
  • Build the guidepost for orientation April 11 
  • Talk with provosts about customizing for campus January 12

Myles and David: Website, videos, and passport, April 11

Melinda and Marlo:  Select TVCC personnel for videos by January 12
