Erica Richardson, M.S.
Erica Richardson graduated with her B.S and M.S. in biology from The University of Texas at Tyler. Her thesis study was an electron microscopic study of the largemouth bass virus. She continued her studies in cancer biology at The University of Texas Health Science Center/M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston where she researched tumor suppressor genes relating to grade IV GBM brain cancers. Ms. Richardson started teaching at TVCC in 2007 on the Terrell campus. She transferred to the Athens campus upon being hired for the Division Chair position in the fall of 2017 and maintained that position until August of 2020 when she was promoted to Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs. She teaches general biology, anatomy and physiology, and microbiology both in the classroom and online for TVCC.
