Regina Weaks Clary is a graduate of Texas A&M University with both a B.S. and M.S. in genetics.  While at A&M, Regina studied the process of apoptosis in mouse embryonic stem (ES) cells.  After completing her master’s, Regina worked in the transgenic core at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas where she was responsible for the generation of transgenic mice by gene targeting in mouse ES cells, microinjection, and blastocyst injection.  Regina went on to earn a Ph.D. in molecular carcinogenesis from UT MD Anderson Cancer Center and UT Health Science Center Houston-Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in 2010.  Her dissertation research focused on the role of the E2F1 transcription factor in tumor suppression.  Regina has been with TVCC since 2010 teaching anatomy & physiology and microbiology classes on the Palestine campus.  She also serves as a Phi Theta Kappa advisor.  In her spare time, Regina loves to bake and enjoys all Aggie sports.  She and her husband Colby live in Palestine with their three dogs, Daisy, Liza, and Rosie.  Dr. Clary can be reached at or in her office at 903-729-7048.
