Trinity Valley Community College

Amended

The Trinity Valley Community College Board of Trustees met in a special called session at 6:00 pm on Monday, April 13, 2020, via teleconference with the following members present.

Mr. Ray Raymond             Mr. David Monk                 Mr. Homer Norville

Mr. Jerry Stone                 Mr. Steve Grant                Mr. Ron Day

Mr. Kenneth McGee          Dr. Charlie Risinger           Mrs. Paula Kimball  

Members not present:       

Mr. McGee opened the meeting with prayer.

2.  There were no public comments.

3.  The CARES Act was discussed at length.  Mr. Norville moved, seconded

by Mrs. Kimball for the board to approve authority of expenditures of the the CARES Act to Dr. King as guidelines are set forth from the Department of Education.  Mr. Monk moved to amend the motion to give authority of expenditures with $100,000 increments with Dr. King giving updates as necessary, and giving authority for expenditures of $400,000 for reimbursement for room and board to students. Dr. Risinger seconded the amendment.  Motion for the amendment carried unanimously.  Mr.  Norville moved to approve the motion as amended, seconded by Mrs. Kimball.  Motion carried unanimously.  More updates will be given to the board at the April 27, 2020 board meeting.

4. Dr. Risinger moved, seconded by Mr. Day to adjourn the meeting at

    6:57 pm.  Motion carried unanimously.
