2016 Homecoming celebrated 70 years of HCJC/TVCC. Following a Thursday night pep rally, Saturday brought
bright sunshine and the induction of Betsy Coker Anderson, Chris Landry, Joe Curl, Lola Reescano, Teresa Jones-
Benson and Todd Fowler into the Cardinal Hall of Fame. Halftime was highlighted by the crowning of Carlos
Andrade of Fall River, MA and Erika Flores of Kaufman as Homecoming King and Queen. Representing TVCC’s
other campuses were Princesses Allison Garner from the Health Science campus in Kaufman, Tiffanie Whiteley
from Palestine and Amanda Crawford from Terrell. Other nominees included Floyd Smith, Jr. for king and Taylor
Johnson, Haley Boyett and Kristy Celis for queen. The Cardinals built a 12-point lead by half time and went on to
defeat Kilgore 52-40.
