Fees:

Access www.GED.com   for current testing fees. Payment is by debit or credit cards. 

Identification:

Verify current identification requirements here.

Examinees must be residents of the state of Texas.  Each examinee must present a original, unexpired Texas driver's license, Texas Department of Public Safety Identification Card, or out of state ID with proof of Texas residency (i.e. utility bill, bank statement, lease) at the time of testing.

Registration:

Examinees must pre-register and pre-pay by going to www.GED.com .  Payment is by debit or credit cards.

Test Dates:

GED testing at the Athens TVCC campus is administered on most Tues, Wed. & Thurs.  Click here for instructions to schedule your GED. 

Accomodations:

Create an account at GED.com, click " yes" to the question about accommodations (modified testing).

What if I don't pass:

In Texas, there is no waiting period if you do not pass a subject area test the first time. After taking a test subject 3 times, you will have to wait 60 days before retesting. There's no limit to how many times you can test in a year.

Scores:

After taking the GED, login to your MyGED account and complete the transcript request.
