Brian Baumgartner, Ph.D.
I’ve always had a love of nature and science. I received a B.S. and M.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Houston - Clear Lake where I had the opportunity to pursue undergraduate research that led to a research publication as an undergraduate. I went to Texas A&M University for my Ph.D. in Biochemistry where I continued my research in plant molecular biology. After graduation I switched to molecule neurobiology at Baylor College of Medicine and later developed genetically engineered viruses for use in experimental gene therapy. I have published 20 peer-reviewed research articles and presented at numerous research conferences across the country.
