Trinity Valley Community College Small Business Development Center has announced that Tracy Irby has joined its staff as a Business Advisor.

Irby, in addition to Bachelors and Masters degrees from Texas A&M Commerce, brings a record as a serial entrepreneur. She has owned retail, direct selling and professional representation businesses. Irby comes to TVCC with experience in the Paris, Texas SBDC.

“Because Tracy Irby has prior SBDC experience and important skills for businesses today we expect she will hit the ground running in her assigned area,” said Mike Ellsberry, director of the TVCC SBDC.

Irby will primarily handle counseling requests in Kaufman, Crandall, Forney and Terrell areas plus overflow at the Athens office. She is in the process of developing plans to hold office hours to serve those cities. As she has particular expertise in online marketing and social media, she will take those clients wherever located.

The SBDC office can be reached at 903-675-7403. Existing businesses and those persons thinking of starting a business can receive free and confidential consulting assistance about their business.

The Small Business Development Center is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration, the State of  Texas and Trinity Valley Community College.
