Bennett to Serve on TACCF Board

Trinity Valley Community College Vice President of Institutional Advancement and TVCC Foundation Executive Director Kristen O. Bennett was nominated to serve a two-year term on the Texas Association of Community College Foundations (TACCF) Board of Directors at the 3-day Annual Conference held February 22-24 in Austin. During the conference, she presented a breakout session “Refocus: How to Conduct an Advancement Audit and Create a 1 Year Plan.”
“This is a great honor for TVCC,” said Bennett. “I was completely surprised by the nomination.”
The TACCF is a statewide organization designed for Community College Foundation Board Members and Foundation Executives in TexasThe purposes of the Texas Association of Community College Foundations, Inc. are the adoption of standards and ethical practices; the professionalization of boards of directors, committees, volunteers and other individuals working to enhance the foundation for the benefit of institutional advancement and community colleges; the exchange of information and fellowship; the education of foundation staff, college personnel, board of directors, volunteers working for the enrichment and enhancement of Community Colleges and their communities and the public at large and the advancing of Community Colleges mission and articulating to others across the state and nation.
The mission of the TVCC Foundation is to support the growth and development of Trinity Valley Community College in whatever ways beneficial to its students, faculty, staff and campus facilities. It fulfills this mission by actively encouraging private gifts from individuals, alumni, businesses, associations and service organizations.
