Students Make All-State Choir
Trinity Valley Community College Choir students Hannah Gauze and Dawn Johnston, both of Athens and Megan Weber of Van were selected and participated in the All-State Choir for the Texas Music Educators Association convention held February 8-11 in San Antonio.
“They are to be commended for their selection, work and representation of TVCC in what we would consider our “championship Event” of the year for singers,” said Director Michael Matchael.
TMEA is an organization of over 11,000 school music educators dedicated to promoting excellence in music education. The annual convention in 2016 drew almost 30,000 participants, educators, parents and exhibitors.
