The Trinity Valley Community College Rodeo team performed well during the 9th annual Southern Region National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association event held Friday and Saturday, February 10-11 in Athens.
Sophomore Tyson Arledge from Cameron placed first in the long go of tie-down roping with a time of 8.3 seconds; sophomore Austin Elliott from Arp placed fourth in the long go of steer wrestling with a 4.7; and freshman Brandi Bratton of Bryan placed fourth in the long go with a 7.6, third in the short go with a 7.1 and tied for second in the average with a 14.7 in goat tying.
“We had a great rodeo thanks to all the help and support from our volunteers, students, community and our TVCC family,” said Coach Brent Bratton. “We will take the momentum and head to Kingsville for our next rodeo.”
