The Mathematics department at Trinity Valley Community College provides a broad foundation for the core of a college education. The Mathematics program at Trinity Valley supports the college mission by providing opportunities to develop mathematical knowledge and acquire academic support with an emphasis in communication, critical thinking, and empirical and quantitative skills that prepare and empower students for success to promote and enhance life-long learning.

Trinity Valley Community College's department of mathematics offers an Associate of Arts Degree for students interested in pursuing a mathematics degree at a senior college or university. Our program prepares a

comprehensive curriculum to help students acquire the mathematics foundation and skills needed to reach their goal. Whether the goal is personal enrichment or to transfer to a four-year college or university, there is a course to meet that need. College-level mathematics courses are offered for students majoring in a variety of fields such as business, biological and physical sciences, engineering, and elementary and secondary education. These courses satisfy the mathematics required for an associate degree and/or technical certificate and are designed to transfer to a four-year college or university. Students should consult with an academic advisor early in their programs of study to ensure transferability and specific requirements by the receiving institution.
