Trinity Valley Community College (TVCC) is elevating its dedication to student success by partnering with Caring Campus, an initiative designed to cultivate a welcoming and supportive environment for all students.

The Caring Campus program, developed by the Institute for Evidence-Based Change (IEBC), focuses on increasing student retention and success by fostering a culture of care in higher education. Through IEBC’s coaching and support, TVCC faculty will adopt specific behavioral practices aimed at better connecting with and empowering students, helping them achieve their educational goals.

“We are thrilled to join Caring Campus and take intentional steps toward building a college community where every student feels valued and supported,” said TVCC President Dr. Jason Morrison. “This program has the potential to be transformative, creating a ripple effect of positivity and engagement throughout our campus.”

Research underscores that students who feel more connected to their college are more likely to stay enrolled, progress from semester to semester, and ultimately achieve their academic aspirations. Caring Campus leverages this understanding through a semester of focused collaboration with IEBC coaches, who guide faculty teams in adopting and implementing these supportive behaviors. Coaches meet with faculty every three weeks to ensure progress and refine strategies for success.
