Ivan Smith Furniture Donates to TVCC’s New Lactation Room
When Trinity Valley Community College (TVCC) Foundation sought donations to establish a lactation room on the TVCC – Athens Campus, Ivan Smith Furniture answered the call.
When the decision was made to offer a private space for nursing mothers on the campus, Foundation Development Coordinator Fabiola Fuentes reached out to local community businesses for donations to furnish the room. Ivan Smith Furniture generously provided a swivel glider and rug for the space.
“The Foundation is proud to support the development of the lactation room,” Fuentes shared. “We are thrilled to share this gift from Ivan Smith. I would like to especially thank Store Manager Matt Porter for his time and dedication to ensure these items are perfect for nursing mothers.”
Additional items that are needed for the room include a mini refrigerator for milk storage, low lighting, and some décor.
