TVCC Art Department announces winners of the 2023 Student Art Show
The TVCC Student Art Show is a showcase of the projects completed in the fall 2023 semester. Although this is not a competition; a ballot box was available for viewers to vote on their favorite pieces. The top winners are first place winner Ashley Crittenden, second place winner Cathy Preedom, and third place winner Jay Torez. The top winners received art supplies. All pieces are from Drawing I, Foundations of Art, Drawing and Painting, Ceramics I & II, and Academic Coop. These classes are currently held on the Athens campus.
The next Student Art Show is set for April 23 through April 28, 2024. At the spring Student Art Show, viewers can bid on their favorite artwork during the Cardinal Auction.
“It’s a beautiful sight to see all the hard work from the semester,” said Department Coordinator and Studio Arts Instructor September Kirk.
