EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, communications, or related field
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
2 years of related experience, or equivalency
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Thorough knowledge of written English and best practices for writing for the digital platforms. Knowledge of web publishing or content management systems as well as a variety of computer software programs (ex., Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create, update, and maintain content for the TVCC website, including writing and editing copy, designing web graphics, and optimizing for search engines.
- Plan, develop, and implement new web pages for TVCC departments and programs.
- Regularly audit and review website content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to TVCC Brand Guidelines, including checking for broken links and outdated information.
- Develop engaging content ideas for various platforms, including the website, print, and social media, ensuring alignment with the college’s mission.
- Coordinate content within the marketing department to maintain a consistent voice and cultivate an engaged digital community.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to produce communications for print, web, social media, and other outlets.
- Stay current with trends in web design, accessibility, and usability, and make recommendations for incorporating new features into the site.
- Conduct analysis of site usage and suggest improvements to site content presentation and information architecture.
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, managing a list of content providers for various departments and programs.
- Keep the marketing team informed of trends in web design and collaborate regularly to enhance web communications.
- Take photographs and/or video as needed on and off campus to support communications efforts.
- Maintain confidentiality when required.
- Abide by TVCC policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
