TITLE:  Dual Credit High School Liaison

MONTHS TO BE WORKED PER YEAR:  12

 

SALARY: $51,374 - $56,907.40

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s Degree

EDUCATION PREFERRED:

Master's Degree

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Three (3) years of applicable experience

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

Working in a community college, and/or teaching at either the community college or high school level. Knowledge of high school dual credit requirements.  Familiarity with community college curriculum.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between TVCC and all public and private schools involved in Dual Credit, including coordination with their personnel.
  • Support and coordinate teaching activities for all Embedded Faculty in academic and workforce programs.
  • Collaborate with Division Chairs and Embedded Faculty to align high school course curricula with TVCC standards.
  • Disseminate and manage the selection of textbooks and materials to meet learning outcomes.
  • Evaluate Embedded Faculty according to college policies.
  • Assist in collecting institutional data such as LEAPS.
  • Oversee and update course syllabi in collaboration with Division Chairs, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
  • Provide Embedded Faculty with operational updates, including deadlines and certification requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Embedded Faculty, addressing questions and supporting instructional duties.
  • Inform the Director of Dual Credit of issues impacting embedded students or faculty.
  • Comply with all college policies as outlined in the Board Policy Manual.
  • Travel to participating schools to support and assist Embedded Faculty.
  • Provide training and maintain the Embedded Faculty Handbook for new instructors.
  • Assist prospective faculty with application processes.
  • Support the Dual Credit Director in calculating and preparing ISD stipends and lab reimbursements.
  • Attend professional development and relevant conferences as approved.
  • Assist in organizing and setting up conferences, meetings, and training sessions.
  • Participate actively in task forces, committees, and partnerships.
  • Manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines, working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Maintain positive communication with high school administrators, counselors, and faculty.
  • Collect and manage annual Embedded Faculty Teaching Agreements.
  • Coordinate proctor activities, including communication with ISDs and TVCC faculty, and maintain agreements.
  • Assist with enrollment, registration, and ISD communications as needed.
  • Support department goals and work within assigned schedules.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information
  • Other duties as assigned by appropriate supervisory personnel.
