Technical Direction
Andrew “Bohb” Nelson has been working backstage for the past 25 years in various positions and places. Bohb studied Technical Direction at Texas State University. The skills he learned and the contacts he made there gave him the opportunity to work in a wide range of theatres in New York, Illinois, and Colorado.
He served as the Technical Director for the Creede Repertory Theatre (2011). In his hometown of Austin, Bohb works as a representative on calls for Stage Alliance. He has also worked as Head Carpenter at Bass Concert Hall. Bohb has worked as local crew on such shows as Hamilton, Hadestown, Les Miserables, Wicked, The Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story, and The Color Purple to name a few. Bohb is thrilled to be in an educational setting, where he can share his passion for theatre with the next generation of theatrical professionals.
