Craig Lee
Craig Lee has served as the Director of Theatre and Head of Performance Studies at Trinity Valley Community College since 2013. In addition to his teaching duties, he directs the mainstage productions for the TVCC Theatre Department.
Craig Lee holds a BFA in Theater/Television from Texas Christian University and an MFA in Performance from the California Institute of the Arts. Before coming to TVCC, Craig was the head of performance studies at Lon Morris College.
He served as the Producing Artistic Director of Applause Theatrical School and Performance Company, located in Northwest Houston. While at Applause Theatre he taught acting and other performance related classes, and directed many musicals including Little Women, the Broadway Musical, Once Upon a Mattress, Kiss Me, Kate, Godspell, Lucky Stiff, The Secret Garden and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
He has taught for Texas Christian University, Tarrant County College, Blinn College, and Lone Star College -Montgomery. His college directing credits include: The Servant of Two Masters, Crimes of the Heart, and The Robber Bridegroom at Tarrant County College; A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at TCU; Sweeney Todd the Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Hairspray the Musical, Metamorphoses, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Lon Morris College.
He has directed for Tyler Civic Theatre and many other North Texas theater companies including Artisan Center Theater, Grapevine’s Runway Theater and Casa Manana.
As an actor, he has performed with Theater Arlington, Dallas Children’s Theater, Fort Worth Opera, Fort Worth Shakespeare in the Park, and Hip Pocket Theater.
Craig is a teaching candidate for the National Michael Chekov Association.
His plays Aesop’s Commedia and Arlecchino’s Pirate Adventure are published through Eldridge Plays and Musicals.
