The TVCC Criminal Justice program is designed for students who plan to seek employment in various positions related to criminal justice, such as police patrol person, sheriff's deputy, alcoholic beverage control agent, game management officer, security officer, investigator of criminal and related offenses, state officer, police communications, and other positions related to the criminal justice system.
According to the most recent U. S. Department of Labor's Occupational Outlook Handbook, the overall employment for protective service occupations is expected increase from 2016 to 2026. The following video provides information on criminal justice careers.

If you have a question about your background and licensure, please speak with your faculty member or the department chair. You also have the right to request a criminal history evaluation letter from the applicable licensing agency.
