The purpose of this policy is to secure at the first possible level prompt and equitable resolution of student complaints, including those alleging discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, national origin, age or disability. If the complaint involves a problem with an instructor or a grade, the student shall discuss the matter in conference with the instructor of record in an attempt to resolve the dispute. TDCJ students should direct all TVCC correspondence, questions, concerns and problems through the TVCC Counselors at their unit of assignment. Responsibility for disposition lies with the TVCC Associate Vice President of Correctional Education.
