Athens ISD has a policy requiring any bags entering the premises during public events to be CLEAR plastic bags of a certain size. This policy applies both to graduates and their guests, as well as TVCC personnel. Their full policy on bags at public events states the following:

AISD bag policy for all events open to the public: Approved — 12” x 6” x 12” clear plastic bag or backpack or clear plastic fanny pack or 1-gallon plastic freezer bag or clutch no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”. In an effort to provide a safer environment for everyone, no other bags will be allowed. Exceptions: diaper bags with infants & toddlers, and a bag with medical necessities.
