TVCC Theatre Department serves up “Mystic Pizza”
Trinity Valley Community College Theatre Department is ready to take your breath away with their hit production of “Mystic Pizza.”
Based on the 1988 movie from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) Motion Pictures that launched the career of Julia Roberts, “Mystic Pizza” follows three working-class girls who navigate the complexities of life, love, and family in a small-town pizza joint in Mystic, Connecticut. “Mystic Pizza” is a jukebox musical adaptation with story and characters by Amy Holden Jones and musical arrangements and orchestration by Carmel Dean. This hit musical features mega-hits from the 80’s and 90’s including “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun,” “I Think We’re Alone Now,” “Addicted to Love,” “Into the Mystic,” and so much more!

The production is under the direction of Head of Performance Studies and Director Craig Lee, Musical Direction by Justin Legel, Costume Design by Head of Theatrical Design Elizabeth “Biz” Nelson, Choreography by Katy Lee and Technical Director Bohb Nelson.

Performances are scheduled for April 11-13 at 7:30 p.m. and April 14 at 2:30 p.m. at the Pauline Knight Perkins Auditorium on the TVCC – Athens Campus. Tickets are $10 (cash only) and will be available to purchase at the door the day of the performance. TVCC students, staff and faculty get in free with a valid TVCC ID.
