The Trinity Valley Community College Board of Trustees met in a special called session at 6:30 pm on Monday, September 11, 2017 in the Orval Pirtle Administration Building, Athens, with the following members present.

Mr. Jerry Stone                    Mr. Steve Grant        Mrs. Paula Kimball

Mr. Homer Norville

1. Mr. Day opened the meeting with prayer.

2. Mr. Stone moved, seconded by Mr. Norville, to open the public hearing on the proposed tax rate of 0.13854 for 2017-18.  Mr. Raymond asked if there were any public comments.  Hearing no comments, Mr. McGee moved to close the public hearing, seconded by Mr. Day.  Motion carried unanimously.

1. Dr. King discussed the progress for the Terrell Health Science facility.  Randall Scott presented a power point presentation and answered questions.

1. Dr. King and Jean McSpadden presented bond RFP results.  The RFP will be awarded at the next scheduled board meeting.

5. Mr. Monk moved, seconded by Mr. Day, to adjourn the meeting at 7:19 pm.  Motion carried unanimously.
