Robin Roberts, MSN, RN, NPD-BC, NE-BC, EMT-P
Ms. Roberts received her associate degree in nursing from North Eastern Oklahoma A & M in 1986. She worked as a bedside nurse and charge nurse in the medical/surgical unit and then the emergency room for eleven years before returning for her BSN in 1997 and graduating in 1999. She continued to work in an emergency department and obtained her Paramedic certification, until 2004 when she became a flight nurse. While working as a flight nurse, she began her master’s degree studies.
In 2011, Ms. Roberts left her flight career and began working in nursing leadership as a coordinator for various programs such as stroke, trauma, and chest pain, then moving into the role of emergency department manager. She left her management position in 2014 to finish her master’s degree studies in nursing education. Before graduation in 2015, she served as adjunct faculty for TVCC, UT Tyler, and the El Centro nursing programs.
In 2017, she accepted the position of Professional Development Manager for Baylor Scott & White (BSW), where she worked until taking her role with TVCC in May of 2021. At BSW Health, Robin coordinated all staff new-hire onboarding, new RN transition to practice programs and education, transition to ICU education programs, and oversite of all hospital-wide education.
Ms. Roberts moved to Texas in 1988 after attending junior-high, high school, and college in Oklahoma. She is a devout fan of her beloved Oklahoma Sooners Football and Softball teams. She has been married to her husband Kevin for 15 years, and together they have five children, two grandsons, and a Beagle named Baker. In addition to watching Big XII football, Robin enjoys skiing, snowboarding, and vacationing with her family.
