Texas Public Educational Grant (TPEG)

Limited grant funds are available. This grant may be awarded for a percentage of the student's tuition balance or a specific dollar amount. Grants are awarded on a first-come-first-served basis. The grant is not guaranteed until registration is complete. Grants awarded through the Adult & Continuing Education Department are for qualifying non-credit workforce-related classes. (Failure to pass any TVCC class will prevent future eligibility for grant funds.)

This grant is dependent upon student eligibility as verified by the Financial Aid office and the availability of funds. Grants may be dependent upon student eligibility by providing additional documentation of financial need. Examples of accepted forms of additional documentation may include Current Medicaid eligibility of household children, free/reduced lunch eligibility, Head Start eligibility of household children, FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR).

To apply for a TPEG grant, please follow these steps:

1. Apply for and qualify for a Pell grant in the academic year of the class to be taken (contact Financial Aid at 903-675-6233 for application instructions or go to www.fafsa.ed.gov)

2. Register online for the qualifying Continuing Education class, and complete the Adult and Continuing Education Financial Aid Application

3. Email the Continuing Education Financial Aid Application to ContEd@tvcc.edu.

Per TVCC expectations, students are responsible for full tuition. If you are eligible for financial assistance, it will be applied to the student account.
