NOTICE OF MEETING
The Board of Trustees of Trinity Valley Community College will meet in regular session at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2020 in the Community Room, Terrell Health Science Center, Terrell, Texas.  Dinner will be served for the Board Members at 6:45 p.m., where no business will be discussed.  

The Board of Trustees may take formal action as to any of the items listed below:

1.    Open meeting with prayer.

2.    Consider public comments.

3.    Consider and discuss the Lily Solar Tax Abatement.

4.    Presentation of Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) in Kaufman.

5.       President’s Report
a.    2020 Fall Enrollment
b.    COVID-19 Update- Dr. Helen Reid

6.    Consider minutes of the August 24, 2020 board meeting. 

7.    Consider and discuss July financial statements.

8.    Discuss Terrell Health Science Center financials.

9.    Consider and discuss parking lot for the Terrell Health Science Center.

10.    Open a public hearing on proposed tax rate of $0.13854 for the 
college’s regular tax district, and $0.05 for the branch campus maintenance district.

11. Close the public hearing for the proposed tax rates.

12.    Consider setting the tax rate of $0.13854 for the college’s regular tax district to support the FY 2020-2021 budget. 

13. Considering setting the tax rate of $0.05 for the Palestine branch campus maintenance district as the tax rate to support the FY 2020-2021 budget.

14.  Elect TVCC Board of Trustees Officers.

15. Consider and discuss Interlocal Agreements for Henderson and 
      Anderson County to handle the election of the board of trustee district 
      3 position in November.

16. Consider and discuss Henderson County Appraisal District Board of 
      Directors nomination for Place 5.

17.  Consider and discuss approval of non-participation of employees in the State Employee Charitable Contribution Program CDDA (LOCAL) policy.  

18. Consider and discuss the Kaufman County Tax Assessor Collector Collections Contract (Interlocal Agreement).

19.     Consider and discuss the 2020-2025 TVCC Strategic Plan. 

20.  Discuss the VA Audit Report.

21. Convene to executive session to discuss personnel in accordance with 
       Govt. Code 551.074.
