DORMITORY AND FOOD SERVICE  

Trinity Valley Community College offers housing on the campus to students.  Each dormitory is conveniently located near classrooms, cafeteria, library, student center, and tennis courts.  All dormitories have heat and air conditioning.  The lounge/reception area in each building contains color television, and soft drink machines.  Laundry facilities are provided for each dormitory.  Each dormitory has an adult director who lives in the dorm.

Only full-time students are eligible for housing in the TVCC dormitories.  Rooms are rented on a double occupancy basis with semi-private bathrooms and are furnished with two of each:  beds, chests, desks, and chairs.  Each room has a cable hook-up with basic channels provided.  Students are required to bring bed linens, pillows, towels, etc. Room and board packages include room rent, meal ticket, tax and mail box.  Each dormitory resident is required to have a meal ticket.   

 

Room Reservations

A room reservation/damage deposit of $50 must be received by the Housing Office before reservations will be made.  Residents will be asked to complete a dormitory contract as a part of the check-in process.

Cancellation of Reservations

The room reservation/damage deposit will be refunded when cancellation occurs before the following dates:  Summer Semester-May 15; Fall Semester-August 1; Spring Semester-January 5.  If cancellation occurs after these date, NO refund will be made.

(Cost is per semester for Fall 2009 and Spring 2010)  

Meal Plan #1 = 20 meals/week Cost:  $1935

Meal Plan #2 = 14 meals/week Cost:  $1904

Room and Board Installment Plan  

Trinity Valley Community College also offers a payment plan for room and board.  Payments are made in four (4) equal installments.  To qualify for the room and board installment plan, a student must have an account in good standing.

Fall 2009 Semester 

1st installment                Due Date:  Aug. 24, 2009          Amount:  $483.75/20 meals   $476.00/14 meals
2nd installment               Due Date:  Sep. 25, 2009          Amount:  $483.75/20 meals   $476.00/14 meals
3rd installment                Due Date:  Oct. 23, 2009           Amount:  $483.75/20 meals   $476.00/14 meals
4th installment                Due Date:  Nov. 20, 2009          Amount:  $483.75/20 meals   $476.00/14 meals

Spring 2010 Semester 

1st installment                Due Date:   Jan.11, 2010           Amount:  $483.75/20 meals   $476.00/14 meals
2nd installment               Due Date:   Feb.12, 2010          Amount:  $483.75/20 meals   $476.00/14 meals

Discounts of $15 and $30 will be made when room and board is paid in full by the following dates:

Fall 2009          $30 discount if paid by Sep.8, 2009 and $15 discount if paid by Sept. 22, 2009
Spring 2010     $30 discount if paid by Jan. 25, 2010 and $15 discount if paid by  Feb. 8, 2010
(Discount does not apply to students with full or partial room scholarships.)

 

NOTE:  If Room and Board payment is not received in Business Office by due date, a $20 charge will be added for each late installment.  If payment is not received within 5 days after due date, student will be subject to meal cancellation and dormitory eviction.
