NJCAA names Bulgak first team All-America

Allen receives honorable mention

  Trinity Valley Community College sophomore Adut Bulgak has been named first team All-America by the National Junior College Athletic Association.
  Lady Cardinal sophomore Shlonte’ Allen was also recognized on the team, earning honorable mention.
  Bulgak, a 6-4 forward from Canada, averaged 15.9 points, 11.6 rebounds and 2.5 blocked shots for the Lady Cardinals this past season to help them to their third straight national championship and eighth overall. She also hit 29 three-pointers.
  She was recently named the WBCA Player of the Year and was also the MVP at the national tournament.
  Joining Bulgak on the first team were Brittany Jackson (ASA), Fatima Adams (Blinn), Joymesia Howard (Central Arizona), Simone Westbrook (Northwest Florida State), Tatiana Grant (Pratt), Patride Toston (Southern Idaho) and Bre Brooks (Weatherford).
  Allen averaged 18.5 points for the Lady Cardinals. She also set a single-game scoring record with 52 points in a 119-54 win against Panola.
  The team was released today by the NJCAA.
