Trinity Valley Community College offers housing on the Athens campus to students.  Each dormitory is conveniently located near classrooms, cafeteria, library, and  student center.  All dormitories have heat and air conditioning.  The lounge/reception area in each building contains color television, and soft drink machines.  Laundry facilities are provided for each dormitory.  Each dormitory has an adult director who lives in the dorm.

Only full-time students are eligible for housing in the TVCC dormitories.  Rooms are rented on a double occupancy basis with semi-private bathrooms and are furnished with two of each:  beds, chests, desks, and chairs.  Each room has a cable hook-up with basic channels provided.  Students are required to bring bed linens, pillows, towels, etc. Room and board packages include room rent, meal ticket, tax and mail box.  Each dormitory resident is required to have a meal ticket.

Room Reservations

The state of Texas has mandated that all campus housing students must have the meningitis vaccine. Please provide proof of having taken the meningitis vaccine prior to reporting to Trinity Valley Community College housing. The meningitis vaccine must be within 5 years of enrolling for classes each semester.

A room reservation/damage form and the Release of Background Information form must be accompanied by a $200 room reservation/damage deposit and a $25 non-refundable processing fee for a criminal background check must be received by the Housing Office before reservations will be made.

Cancellation of Reservations

The room reservation/damage deposit will be refunded when cancellation occurs before the following dates:  Summer Semester-May 15; Fall Semester-August 1; Spring Semester-January 5.  If cancellation occurs after these date, NO refund will be made.

(Cost is per semester for Fall 2014 and Spring 2015)  

Meal Plans
The Works: 
20 meals/week + $50 Cardinal Cash. 3 meals/day Monday through Saturday.   Lunch & Dinner Sunday.
The Classic: 14 meals/week + $100 Cardinal Cash.  Any 14 of the 20 meals listed above.
The Basic:    10 meals/week + $175 Cardinal Cash.  Any 10 of the 20 meals listed above.
 
If a meal plan is not selected, The Works meal plan will be automatically chosen by the Business Office.

ROOM AND BOARD INSTALLMENT PLAN

Trinity Valley Community College also offers a payment plan for room and board.  Payments can be made in four (4) equal installments.  To qualify for the room and board installment plan, a student must have an account in good standing. 

Cardinal Hall – 4 equal installments of $756.25

All Other Halls – 4 equal installments of $606.25

DUE DATES

Fall 2014:  August 19, 2014; September 19, 2014; October 17, 2014; and November 14, 2014

Spring 2015:  January 12, 2015; February 13, 2015; March 20, 2015; and April 17, 2015

Discounts of $15 and $30 will be made when room and board is paid in full by the following dates:

Fall 2014 $30 discount if paid by Sep. 1, 2014 and $15 discount if paid by Sept. 15, 2014
Spring 2015 $30 discount if paid by Jan. 24, 2014 and $15 discount if paid by  Feb. 6, 2015
(Discount does not apply to students with full or partial room scholarships.)

If payment is not received in Business Office by due date, a $50 charge will be added for each late installment.
If payment is not received within 5 days after due date, student will be subject to meal cancellation and residence hall eviction.
