Cooperative Education is an educational strategy process involving changing the behavior of people through real-world work experience. It is a method of instruction that involves the student partnering the application of theory with a real-world work setting. In this involvement the student can recognize their own abilities, skills, and potential as the real world becomes more relevant to them. This experience must be selected and measured in such a way that quality growth for the student is assured. The student's instructor/coordinator is the key facilitator in the cooperative education process, and monitors the process and relationship between the student and the employer.
