Installing the client
Note: If you installed the Cisco VPN Client (Not to be confused with Cisco AnyConnect Client), you will need to uninstall this package before installing the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client.
TVCC uses the Cisco AnyConnect Client for VPN services. To install the client, please follow the directions below. Open your web browser (i.e. Internet Explorer or Firefox) and enter the following URL:
You may be preseneted with a certificate error similar to this one.
Click "Continue to the website"
You will be presented with the login screen below.
Groups listed may be different.
- The GROUP field will be TVCC
- Enter your TVCC Cardinal ID/ Username in the USERNAME field.
- Enter your TVCC Domain password in the PASSWORD field.
- Click the Login button.
After successful authentication the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client will begin to download.
If the download does not start automatically you can select Start AnyConnect.
The Cisco AnyConnect Client Installation is pictured below.
Accept any ActiveX prompts for installation.
If you receive the following certificate prompt, Click Yes to proceed.
The Cisco AnyConnect Client will continue installing and automatically connect to the TVCC VPN.
After the initial installation, you can start the AnyConnect Client from your local machine.
You can verify you have successfully connected to the VPN by looking for the following icon in the bottom right-hand side of your task bar (near the clock).
There are two ways to start the AnyConnect Client.
You can choose the Cisco AnyConnect Client from All Programs > Cisco > Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client
you can double-click the AnyConnect icon located on the task bar.
This will open the Cisco AnyConnect Client window.
In the Connect to field enter vpn.tvcc.edu if it not already there.
Click the Select button.
You will then be prompted to enter your authentication information.
- The GROUP field will be TVCC.
- Enter your Cardinal ID/ Username in the USERNAME field.
- Enter your TVCC domain password in the PASSWORD field.
- Click Connect.
The AnyConnect client window will close after successful authentication. You can verify you have successfully connected to TVCC's VPN by looking for the following icon in the bottom right-hand side of your task bar (near the clock).
