Summer Loan Requests are currently closed for the award year.

 

Students in need of federal student loans for the summer semesters can request a New Loan through their My Cardinal Connect student portal.  Students should not request a New Loan for the summer semester until they have completed course registration for at least 6 credit hours for the summer semester(s).  This is a new process to request summer loans, so we have compiled instructions to assist you available below.

 

Things to know about summer loans:

• Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours during the summer semester(s) to qualify.
• In order to disburse federal funds, students must meet the enrollment requirement.  This means students are not eligible to receive any loan funds until they have begun their 6th credit hour.
• The Department of Education limits the amount of loans a student may receive in a single award year; this may affect your eligibility to receive further loan funds.
