I have 5 kids. I like to read, craft, and bird watch. My birding partners and I like
to go out hiking at state parks and other areas for birding, as well as kayaking out
on lakes.
I initially wanted to be a veterinarian, and after working as a vet tech for a few
years I decided less patient interaction was more along the lines of what I was interested
in. I wanted to work in a lab, whether it was a hospital lab or a research lab.
Taking classes at a smaller community college helps transition students to an academic
setting, and it feels more personal than a larger university.
