In accordance with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and
Texas Education Agency (TEA) policy, dual credit students are allowed to enroll in
up to 15 semester credit hours. For students wishing to enroll in more than 15
semester credit hours, certain requirements must be met. Dual credit students who
are high school freshmen or sophomores are limited to two courses per semester.
Dual credit students who earn a grade below a “C” for a TVCC course are limited to
enrolling in no more than two courses the following semester in which the grade
was earned. Subsequently, their enrollment will be limited to two courses until all
TVCC grades for the enrolled semester are a “C” or above.

ADMISSION TO ASSOCIATE DEGREE NURSING, LVN-TO-ADN
TRANSITION, PARAMEDIC-TO-ADN TRANSITION, VOCATIONAL
NURSING AND SURGICAL TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMS
Applicants must fulfill the following requirements to be considered for entrance into
this program:
1. Apply for admission to Trinity Valley Community College
2. * Provide documentation of TSI completion or exemption
3. Submit minimum passing scores on each area of the designated health
