Trinity Valley Community College Vice President for Instruction Dr. Wendy Elmore has been named one of 25 recipients of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society’s Distinguished College Administrator Award.

Elmore received the award during PTK Catalyst 2019, the society’s annual convention last week in Orlando, FL.

The Distinguished College Administrator Awards are presented to college vice presidents, deans, or directors serving at post-secondary institutions who have shown strong support of student success on their campus by recognizing academic achievement, leadership, and service among high-achieving students.

“We are very proud of Dr. Elmore and her contributions to TVCC and our students,” said TVCC President Jerry King, Ed.D.

Recipients were nominated for the award by the students on their campus.

“I am truly humbled by this prestigious award, and honored to have the privilege to work with such a wonderful group of students and advisors in our PTK chapter at TVCC,” said Elmore.

Phi Theta Kappa is the premier honor society recognizing the academic achievement of students at associate degree-granting colleges and helping them to grow as scholars and leaders. The Society is made up of more than 3.5 million members and nearly 1,300 chapters in 10 nations. Learn more at ptk.org.
