Misplaced or additional copies of your earned GED

Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency is the approved name for the credential. Three companies are approved in Texas, however, TVCC only administers the GED. If you have misplaced your copy or need an additional copy, please follow the instructions below below. TVCC does not keep copies of earned GED's.

• Downloadable PDF
• First certificate is free - emailed approximately 3 days after final computer-based test, 10 days after final paper-based test
• Certificate Search application located at www.txchse.com 
• If no record found – use link provided to submit a help desk (TEA staff will not conduct record searches over the phone)
• Free verification letter
• $5 for downloadable PDF – paid by credit card or checking account
• System works with all operating systems and browsers, but not recommended for smart phones or tablets because of default pop-up blockers
• No mail, email, fax or phone verifications, or certified mail (must use online search application)
• As of 12/28/2018, Certificate Dates are now the date of the last test passed – this aligns with the test vendor portals
