Ready to embark on a fulfilling career as a CDL truck driver? Trinity Valley Community College invites you to join our Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A training program this summer.

The program is offered through a partnership between Carl Negley and Career Trucking School (CTS) and the TVCC Adult and Continuing Education with comprehensive training at both the Kaufman and Palestine campuses.

Eligibility includes:

Must be 18 years or older

Maintain an acceptable driving record

Pass a Department of Transportation Physical Exam

Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English

Meet Motor Carrier Federal Safety Regulations and Qualifications of Drivers

No high school diploma or GED required

Applicants interested in the program must go through a prescreening. For applicants to go through prescreening, they must contact Negley at carl@getmycdl.com or call 903-352-0788.

While federal financial aid isn't available, applicants can explore options such as employer sponsorship or assistance through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) at your local workforce centers. Employers can sponsor employee training.
