Community Services to host job fair Nov. 14

TVCC
On November 14, Trinity Valley Community College’s Community Services department will host a job fair from noon to 2:00 p.m.  in the Liberal Arts building on the Athens campus. Tables will be provided for employers. Employers are asked to provide finger foods (finger sandwiches, chips, fruit, cookies or drinks) as many of the students will be on their lunch break during this time. Employers should plan to arrive by 11:30.

For three years, TVCC has offered training for medical nursing assistants. These students receive training as nurse aides, phlebotomists, medical front office and back office assistants. The Community Services office receives many requests from area nursing homes, home health agencies, hospitals and clinics about the possibility of recruiting students who have completed these classes.

Students who are part of the Medical Assistant program or other students who are CNAs, medication aides or phlebotomists should come prepared to meet with prospective employers. Students should bring 20 copies of their resume with a cover letter, a copy of their transcript (unofficial or official) and should dress professionally in either scrubs or business attire.

For more information or to secure an employer table, please contact the Community Services office at 903-675-6212.
