TVCC Welding Projects Show Scholarship Winners
Trinity Valley Community College welding instructor Tom Sheram has announced the results of the department’s first Welding Project Show, held Friday, April 27. Students from ten area high schools displayed 24 welding projects in competition for scholarships and prizes.
First place scholarship winners were Jesus Martinez of Palestine High School, who won a $1,000 scholarship provided by Vulcraft, Inc. of Grapeland; Danielle Sandefer and Makenzie Winner of Fairfield, who each won a $500 scholarship provided by TVCC and Miguel Aguilar, Nico Charrez and Jordan Lee of Kerens High School, who each won $333 scholarships provided by Mitchell Welding supply in Terrell.
Second place winners of various donated prizes were Morgan Tanner, Tristan LeGrad and Chase Glenn of Cayuga; Garrett English, Jakobey Ross, Trent Pamplin and Carson Campbell of Martins Mill.
Third place prize winners were Amy Wilson, K.K. Weltmer, Alyssa Jones, Damon McDade and Naomi Wilson of Kerens and Mario Aleman of Palestine.
