Hall of Distinguished Alumni's Announced

TVCC

It's that time again for your Hall of Distinguished Alumni Nominations for the 2019 Induction ceremony on Homecoming Weekend.

In Fall of 2017, the Trinity Valley Community College Alumni Association created the Hall of Distinguished Alumni (HODA) for outstanding non-athletic alumni who have made significant contributions to their field of endeavor and are inducted during ceremonies in alternate years to Cardinal Hall of Fame inductions.

Any person who attended any TVCC campus and completed at least one semester or the hourly equivalent is considered an alumnus/alumna. Any alumnus/alumna who has distinguished him/herself by reaching the pinnacle of accomplishment and who possesses the highest level of integrity and character to positively reflect and enhance the prestige of TVCC is eligible for nomination. Prior recognitions into other alumni recognition programs will grandfather those inductees into the Hall of Distinguished Alumni, with no duplication between Cardinal Hall of Fame and HODA inductees.

“For more than 70 years, Trinity Valley Community College has developed extraordinary alumni who have contributed substantially to their chosen fields, their communities and society,” said TVCC Vice President of Institutional Advancement Kristen Bennett. “To pay homage to these and future distinguished graduates, the college has initiated a Hall of Distinguished Alumni. This award is the highest honor the college will bestow. We are so proud to be able to honor and share their great achievements with the entire community.”

Nominations are open through June 1, 2019 for this year’s HODA class and may be made through a form found at the Office of Institutional Advancement or online. A select committee will choose candidates for induction based on the nominee’s accomplishments during and after years at TVCC; service to the college through volunteer, financial or other support; professional achievements; personal integrity and community service.
