Mrs. Fritz earned her BSN and MSN from Boston University School of Nursing. Her MSN included Rehabilitation Nurse Clinical Specialist and Nursing Education. Her education also includes NYU/Rusk Rehabilitation Institute Certificate Rehab Nursing and UT Edinburg Advanced Nursing Assessment Skills and Intro to Computer.

All of her greater than 50 years working as a professional nurse have included elements of teaching, administration, and leadership in clinical practice roles and in higher education.

Her vast teaching experience consists of serving as the Coordinator of Graduate Rehab Nursing Program and Clinical Instructor for Rehab Clinical Nurse Specialists, Nursing Theory, and Thesis Writing at Boston University School of Nursing. At the University of Electricity and Electronics, Boumerdes, Algeria, she held the position of Faculty on Foreign Assignment where she taught Math for Scientific Purposes (ESL) for French and Arabic speaking students. Mrs. Fritz is a credit and CE non-credit Medical and Nursing Assistant Program instructor at TVCC. Special Projects: Mabank ISD NEXT Program for Special Ed post HS graduates. Duties also include Nurse Aide Program Director and facilitator of TVCC Nurse Aide Certification Exam Regional Testing site. She developed and/or directed three Hospital based Home Health and/or Hospice Programs in Texas. Home Health and Hospice Nurse Case Manager working for Catholic Charities in the Rio Grande Valley. She held many positions at Boston University Medical Center including Clinical Nurse Specialist, charge nurse, staff nurse, and nurse aide. Nurse member of Rehab Team working on Research Grant studying the differences in Rt and Lt Hemisphere Brain Damage with emphasis on strokes, Boston University Medical School/Medical Center.

Mrs. Fritz has been married 50+ years, and they have three children, all college educated. Her husband is a retired electronics and communications college professor. She has been blessed with four grandchildren. Her primary interests involve helping others, especially young people who have made some poor choices in their lives and needing support as they seek new directions for their lives and with homebound folks. During college, she had a life changing Christian experience and felt called to missions, locally and foreign. In Boston, she worked with FOCUS (Foreign College and University Students) and Nurses Christian Fellowship.

In any spare time, she enjoys cooking for special events, sewing for Hope Pregnancy Center, and assorted crafts.
