Core Curriculum

TVCC core curriculum is a foundation of knowledge and skills preparing students to transfer to their four-year university program. Students complete 42 semester credit hours to complete the core curriculum. Students who complete 18 additional semester credit hours will receive the Associate of Arts degree, Liberal Arts major (AA), the Associate of Arts degree, Teaching major (AAT), or the Associate of Arts degree, Music Major (AAM).

Recommended career pathways have been constructed with the core curricula to be applicable to bachelor's degree programs. The pathways outline which courses to complete for a degree that would be best for transferring to a specific bachelor degree program.
