CRIMINAL JUSTICE
CRIMINAL JUSTICE AAS PROGRAM
Criminal justice personnel maintain order and protect life and property by enforcing local,
tribal, state or federal laws and ordinances. Perform a combination of the following duties:
patrol a specific area; direct traffic; issue traffic summonses; investigate accidents; apprehend
and arrest suspects, or serve legal processes of courts. TVCC has two criminal justice
workforce pathways: law enforcement and corrections.
N te: Students who have successfully completed the Basic Police Academy and the Texas Basic
Peace Officer Licensing Exam may qualify for 13 semester hours of articulated credit. (Fees
apply). Applicants must have completed 12 semester hours credit at TVCC prior to articulation.
